JD Diaphragm valves can be used for either on-off or throttling purpose. Diaphragm valves are used where certain low-pressure application not possible with other types of valves. Their fluid passages are smooth and curved, minimizing pressure drop. They are suitable for moderate throttling applications, and they have excellent leak-tight characteristics, even when conveying liquids containing suspended minute solid particles. The fluid stream is isolated from the working parts of the valve, preventing contamination of the fluid and corrosion of the operating mechanism. Since there is no leak path around the valve stem, the valve is virtually leak tight. This feature makes the valve indispensable where leakage into or out of the system cannot be tolerated. It has Linear flow Characteristic.

It is a quick opening valve.

JD Diaphragm Valves are ideally suited for corrosive, abrasive, slurries & liquids with minute solid particles.

JD Diaphragm Valves are designed and manufactured as per BS 5156. They are widely utilized in water treatment plants, fertilizer & petrochemical industries, pharmaceutical units, chemical process units, refineries and power plants. They are more appropriate for positive pressure and high vacuum conditions. An extensive range of materials are available to handle almost all operations within its pressure-temperature limitations.

Maintenance of these Valves is extremely simple. By dismantle the Bonnet from the Body, the whole Trim Assembly can be taken out for maintenance while the Body will remain in the Pipeline. Hence the design allows online maintenance to save time and energy. Its linear flow characteristics, makes it perfect for throttling or modulating operations. On/off and control automation is supplied with Pneumatic Actuators or Cylinders.

Working Principle

Diaphragm valves have corrosion-resistant lining on the valve body and a corrosion-resistant diaphragm to replace the valve plug components, and control the medium by moving the diaphragm.
